What to check in this category
Spring clamps combine copper alloys with steel springs, so exemption 6c usually applies here as it does across terminal blocks. Where the part contains electronics, the declaration also has to reach the circuit board assembly inside it, where high melting point solder under exemption 7a becomes relevant.
What a usable declaration contains
- The exact part number or article range covered.
- The issue date of the document.
- The regulation revision referenced.
- Any exemptions claimed, by number.
- SVHC content stated against the 0.1% by weight threshold.
- A named signatory.
